Providing therapy that moves at your pace
I’m Erica Wesley, a Registered Psychotherapist passionate about helping people heal deeply from trauma, stress, and loss.
For me, therapy is about creating a space that feels safe, warm, and deeply human. I bring authenticity, compassion, and integrity to my work, meeting you exactly where you are. Whether you’re navigating the challenges of parenthood, working through grief, or simply feeling stuck in old patterns, I’m here to help you find calm, connection, and lasting change.
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Registered Social Worker (RSW) committed to providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care. My work is shaped by ongoing learning, deep clinical training, and a strong foundation in approaches that support healing at the nervous-system level.
My background includes specialized training in therapies that gently address trauma, attachment wounds, emotional overwhelm, and the patterns that can keep people feeling stuck. I continue to pursue advanced education and consultation to ensure the care I offer is safe, effective, and aligned with best practices.

Traditional talk therapy often focuses on understanding your experiences through conversation — and that insight can be genuinely valuable. But for many people, especially those carrying trauma, understanding what happened isn't enough to change how it feels. That's because trauma isn't just stored in our thoughts — it lives in the body, in our nervous system, and in the relational patterns we learned long before we had words for them.
My approach works with all of that. Rather than focusing only on what you think or say, we pay attention to what you feel, what gets activated, and what your body is trying to tell us. Drawing on trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and somatic frameworks, I help you move toward healing that's felt — not just understood.
-
No, not at all! I’m happy to work with individuals and couples without children around issues like grief, trauma, and relationship struggles.

I work best with clients who are ready to go deeper than the surface — people who are open to exploring not just what's happening in their lives, but what's happening inside them when it does.
My approach is a good fit if you're willing to slow down, notice what your body is holding, and work with trauma at a level beyond talking through it. If you've found that the same things keep coming up no matter how much you've processed them, and you're ready to try something different, we're probably a good fit.
Many of my clients carry histories where they weren't truly seen or heard. Creating a space where that changes — where you feel genuinely witnessed in a relationship that feels safe — is one of the things I care most about.
-
My style is warm and relational first — I follow your pace, and I'm not here to push you somewhere you're not ready to go. At the same time, I'm not a passive presence. I'll offer observations, reflect patterns I notice, and gently name things that seem worth exploring together. Therapy with me tends to feel like a real conversation — unhurried, but not without direction.

Yes, I offer virtual sessions for clients living throughout Ontario.

Our first session is mostly about me getting to know you. We'll gently explore what's brought you in right now, a bit of your history and background, and what you're hoping therapy might offer you. I'll also want to understand your strengths and what's already helped you cope — because those matter too. It's more conversation than anything else, and there's no pressure to have it all figured out before you arrive.
Healing happens when you feel safe
If you’re ready to explore therapy, I’d be honoured to support you. Let’s create a space for curiosity, compassion, and lasting change.
